Michael Johnson attempted an unprecedented 200-400m
double at 1996 Atlanta Olympics and succeeded at
19.32s and 43.49s respectively. He was the only
man with the speed and endurance to have run both
200m under 20seconds and 400m under 44 seconds.
Johnson won gold in 400m in Sydney 2000 Olympics
in
43.84seconds.
