2.Ray Ewry - USA
Ray Ewry USA who
suffered from polio as a boy won three unique events
in Paris 1900 Olympics ,namely, standing high jump
(1.655m),standing long jump (3.30m) and standing
triple jump (10.58m).The first two events were dis-
continued after 1912 Olympics (Stockholm) and the
third event was discontinued after 1904 Olympics
(Paris) and won eight Gold medals - thrice for first
two and twice for the third event in successive
Olympics.
